What is it about unpacking that makes it so detestable? We got back from vacation last Wednesday, and I am not ashamed to admit it: one of our suitcases is still sitting in the dining room, with clothes in it! Seriously - is that crazy or what? I totally walk by it at least once a day, sometimes even taking an item or two out of it, but never completely unpacking and putting it away. Does that make me a complete slob? Haha. Come to think of it, putting away folded clothes is my least favorite part of doing laundry. Sometimes I have clean clothes, folded in the basket, sitting right beside my dresser, for weeks. LOL. No joke! Maybe I should title this "Confessions of Laziness," haha. I'm not really getting anywhere with this, am I. I sat down for a quick post and then that suitcase caught my eye... hehehe... hence the unpacking comment.
All and all, I'm not coping well with returning from Hawaii. :) What a hard place to leave! My husband was anxious to get back to the daily grind, but not me. I wasn't ready. I miss those ocean breezes and amazing sunsets... definitely my favorite travel spot so far. I was going to put one of those little picture tickers on here, with some Maui moments, but I haven't gotten to that yet. HELLO, I haven't even unpacked! Later - it's the lazy way.

We don't naturally grow together and love each other more. We tend to grow apart, to grow distant. So we have to work hard at marriage. It's the most fun work in the world, but it's still work. - Ann Ortlund
I like this, as it's realistic and honest. At least I think it is. After a frustrating day with my husband, I'm reminded that my love for him is a choice I make each and every day. There are days when it's easy to love him, and there are days when I have to work so hard not to hurt him! Of course today was one of those days - right before our vacation, too! Timing is such a funny thing. Nonetheless, I just keep looking up!
I do pray for a safe, fun and relaxing trip... we need it!
