2009

Wow, a new year is upon us already!  "Where has the time gone?" has become my most popular thought and saying these days!  I received an email from a friend and adapted it a bit for myself - it perfectly sums up all resolutions I could have for myself in 2009:

I resolve to be the best person I can be, as a servant of God, as a member of my family, as a friend to others, as an American, and as a citizen and caretaker of this world. I will act with integrity and in faith in all that I do.  No matter what comes in 2009, I will remember that what happens is not nearly so important as my attitude in dealing with it.  I will remember that I am not alone, and I will rely on God and on my friends and family to see me through both challenges and triumphs.  This coming year is a gift which I will treasure and live to the fullest.

This will be my goal... to be my BEST.  I have too many challenges right now that require me to be nothing but my best, my strongest and prayerfully faithful.

All in all, I'm excited about the new year.  Becoming a mother to wonderful little Allie made 2008 unbelievably amazing... I can't wait to see what 2009 has in store for us!

"Silver and gold, silver and gold..."

I love the Christmas Holiday Classics - y'know the claymation movies... I have them on dvd, but I still watch them on tv! Ha! Last night was Santa Claus is Coming to Town, tonight Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. I can't get enough... nothing takes me back to my childhood and gives me the warm fuzzies like these movies!  I think of all those years, waiting anxiously with my brothers and sister for Santa to come... haha.  I am so blessed to have such great memories!
