Had my monthly check up today and I'm a little depressed... apparently I hit the scale at the perfect time today (right after lunch) and registered a WHOPPING weight gain of SEVEN pounds. That's 7 lbs in one month people!!! How on earth did I do that?!!! Seriously - HOW did I manage to do that in one month?!!! I was dumbfounded... I knew I'd at least gained 3-4, but 7?!!! The nurse laughed at my reaction and said not to worry about it, that it was all baby. WHATEVER. I'm officially a lil' fatty! Gotta watch the food and walk more from here on out!
Aside from my 7 lb-shock, everything else is great. Labs were good. Heard the heartbeat again - this time 142 bpm. What a comforting and wonderful little sound!!! The doctor said the baby's growth was "excellent" and that he/she was actually a little high, but that it was normal. That (or the 7lbs) explains my upper belly bulge, hahaha.
Our next big event is my ultrasound in 2 weeks... that's the big day we find out if this little bundle is going to be wrapped in pink or blue. I am unbelievably excited and cannot WAIT to find out! Everyone keeps asking me if I'm sure I want to know - of course I am! :)
